Dawn Patrol · Oval coffee table

Dawn Patrol is an oval coffee table: a long, narrow top shaped like a surfboard, 1,400 mm from nose to tail, over a low oval shelf and four angled legs. The first table in the collection, and the one the others follow.

Look underneath. Each leg locates in a slot cut into the underside of the top and passes through a slot in the edge of the shelf on its way down, where a bolt holds it. The joint is the detail.

Solid oak, hand-finished in Rubio Monocoat in Charcoal, Light Roast or Dunes. Designed and manufactured on the Dolphin Coast.

The table is six flat parts. It travels flat and goes together solid, and the bolts undo, so it comes apart again. If a part is ever damaged, it can be cut again from the same drawing and replaced. You keep the table.

• Made: Designed and manufactured on the Dolphin Coast, hand-finished
• Order: From stock where available. Otherwise made to order: 4–8 weeks, confirmed with your deposit. 50% deposit to order, the balance before delivery.
• Delivery: Free delivery anywhere in South Africa, flat-packed.
• Care: Wipe with a damp cloth. When the oak looks dry, oil it again: the finish can be refreshed in place.
