The joint is the detail.

Each leg locates in a slot cut into the underside of the top and passes through the shelf. Bolts hold the parts together, so the table can come apart and go back together.

Flat to solid

The parts become the table.

Top, shelf and legs are cut flat from solid oak. They travel flat, go together with a few bolts, and stand solid.

Because it is made of parts, it can also come apart: to move house, or to replace one part without replacing the table.

Made to be kept

Spend more, buy less.

The lowest-waste object is the one you do not replace.

01

Keep it

Solid oak and wild teak, all the way through. No MDF, no chipboard, no veneer passed off as solid.

02

Maintain it

Wipe it with a damp cloth. When the oak looks dry, oil it again: the finish can be refreshed in place. A care card goes with every piece.

03

Repair it

The tables are built from parts. If a part is ever damaged, it can be cut again from the same drawing and replaced. You keep the table.
